Vision
Whether it is a home renovation or an office project, the realization of a personal and usable environment is central to each project. My designs are always custom-made and focused on realizing comfort and user-friendliness.
By taking the time to immerse myself in the user, I understand what your needs are. This way I can create a good design for an inspiring environment to live or work in pleasantly.
My designs are characterised by a strong relationship between inside and outside, plenty of daylight, a healthy indoor climate and the use of sustainable materials with a low environmental impact.
Global vision
Each project starts with an extensive introduction in which all your wishes and requirements are clearly identified. The location is analyzed and the relevant regulations and zoning plans are examined. Based on this, a global vision for the entire project is created by means of sketch plans and atmospheric images.
Way of working
I don't make a design alone. In addition to intensive cooperation with a client, I work with a small but reliable network of partners and advisors. This way I have access to the latest developments within various disciplines and I can also scale up if necessary. Together we realize the project according to the agreed specifications and quality.
(Interior) design
In several phases the vision is translated into a Definitive Design. I always make a 3D design and floor plans. In several sessions the design is presented and adjusted if necessary. When the layout of the house is finally determined, a proposal for the colours and materials including sampling follows. A proposal is made for the custom furniture such as kitchens, wardrobes, sanitary facilities and lighting.
A proposal can also be made for styling and furnishings (curtains, upholstery).
Technical design
Once the Final Design has been determined, it is technically elaborated to a level that contractors can base a price on. This means that all facade drawings, floor plans, the electrical plan and the construction details are elaborated. This can also be used to apply for a building permit for you. Where necessary, I coordinate the design with third parties such as the constructor, consultants or, for example, the municipal aesthetics committee.
All colours and materials to be used are specified. Separate drawings are made for kitchen and bathrooms including a proposal for sanitary facilities. In addition, a light and electrical plan follows with all positions of lighting and a concrete proposal for light fittings.
Project management during implementation
In this phase, the realization of the design is prepared. During the tender, quotes are checked and the project size is finally determined. The design is discussed in the smallest details with, for example, a contractor, consultant, interior builder and other suppliers.
I ensure that the agreed quality is achieved. For this I regularly attend the construction meetings and additional drawings are made or improvement proposals are made during construction.
And then finally comes the moment that the project is finished. Together we check whether there are really no remaining points. I am not satisfied until all the skirting boards have been glued.
